Some loft ladders - such as the eco - come with a hatch door built into the unit. Other ladders need to either have the original hatch door modified or replaced. With the likes of the eco, the hatch opening has to match the size of the unit. The eco opening is normally more than enough for most uses. If however this is not the case, Loft Ladder Scotland can create a brand new kit tailored to your needs.
if you are looking to get larger objects into your loft such as a bed or sofa, Loft Ladder Scotland can make your opening as big as you like (it's your ceiling after all!) or if you only have a small space in your ceiling Loft Ladder Scotland will tailor the new kit to fit.
Safety hatches are a great way to keep safe in the loft if it is in regular use such as an office or kids play room or just for safety in general. When you are in the loft you have no safety banner around you to stop you falling down the hatch. Loft Ladder Scotland can tailor make a second hatch kit that can be flap down from inside the loft .
UPVC hatch doors normally fit into most original hatch openings so it makes for a quicker and more cost effective option.
Fire rated hatch doors are compulsory in some jobs such as office blocks and public buildings. This hatch will stop a fire from entering your loft for 1 hour giving the firemen plenty of time to put out the fire and save your stored possessions.
N.B. Loft Hatches are only available as an add-on item when purchased alongside a ladder.
